Jurong Bird Park

Jurong Bird Park is a tourist attraction in Boon Lay, Singapore. The bird park, managed by Wildlife Reserves Singapore, covers an area of 0.2 square kilometres (49 acres) at the western foot of Jurong Hill, the highest point in the Jurong region.

The idea of a permanent bird exhibit was first conceived by the late Dr Goh Keng Swee, then Minister for Finance, in 1968. During a World Bank Meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Dr Goh visited its zoological garden and was impressed with its free-flight aviary. He set out to ensure that Singaporeans would have a place where they could escape from urban life and relax with nature.

On 3 January 1971, Jurong Bird Park, built at a cost of S$3.5 million, was opened to the public.

Jurong Bird Park is now a world-famous bird zoo where there are specimens of magnificent bird life from around the world, including a large flock of flamingos. It is currently the world's largest bird park in terms of the number of birds, and second largest both in the number of bird species and land area (after Germany's Weltvogelpark Walsrode). There are 5,000 birds of 400 species in Jurong Bird Park, of which 29 are of threatened species

In 2006, Jurong Bird Park completed a S$10 million makeover. With the upgrading, the park boasts a new entrance plaza, a park-owned and managed Bongo Burgers restaurant, an ice cream parlour, a gift shop and a bird hospital

As a visitor, we are welcome to join the activities such as during High Flyers Show, Kings of the Skies Show, and you also can join the Lunch with the Parrots.

Geylang Serai

Geylang is a planning area and township located on the eastern fringe of the Central Region of Singapore. It is bordered by Hougang and Toa Payoh to the north, Marine Parade to the south, Bedok to the east and Kallang to the west.

For those who like to cooking, they can find anything of food ingredient at Geylang Serai Market. Yes, anything. Something that you cant find in the modern market, you can find here easily. Haha. Its true story form my guest from Johor Bahru. She will be here once in 2 weeks to find food ingredient. According to her, she has explore all Giant and Tesco Hypermarket at JB, but she couldn't find the thing that she want. Finally, she find it at Pasar Geylang Serai. Since that, she will travel form JB to Geylang Serai to grocery shopping 

Geylang Serai also famous with verities of local food - Malay, Chinese and Indian food. You can ensure your stomach is full if you come here. Fried Kuey Teau, Nasi Padang, Roti Canai, Nasi Ambeng and many more delicious food that you like to eat. 

During fasting season, its become more excitement with Ramadhan Bazzar especially for Muslim to get the food. On the last 10 days during Ramadhan, Muslim will find their house accessories for their final Syawal preparation 

Merlion Park

What I can say about this place is, here is the heart of Singapore in term of tourist attraction. Every tourist must visit this place before leaving Singapore. 

The main activities here that tourist can participate is photo shoot, as well as river cruise. You can feet the amazing experience once visit this place.
